About Children & Family Treatment and Support Services

Children and Family Treatment & Support Services provides trauma-informed, solution-focused care in the community or home setting for children and adolescents experiencing behavioral challenges.  Eligibility requirements: Medicaid recipient or enrolled in Medicaid Managed Care, behavioral health diagnosis or behavioral health needs that may warrant evaluation/diagnosis, under 21 years of age.

During COVID services are available both in-person and via telehealth.

Anyone can make a referral for services, self-referrals included. Some services require a written recommendation from a Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (New Directions can assist with obtaining this recommendation if needed). Referrals can be emailed to :cftssreferrals@ndyfs.org. Referrals are also accepted by phone at 716-535-1749 x401.

Counties served include: Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Genesee, Erie, Niagara, Orleans, Wyoming.

Comprehensive Evaluation/Diagnosis, Treatment Planning, Individual Counseling and Family Counseling
Community Psychiatric Supports and Treatment (CPST): +
Crisis Prevention/Management, Rehabilitative supports and education, Intensive Interventions
Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR): +
Skill building (social skills, interpersonal skills, community integration and daily living skills)
Family Peer Support Services (FPSS): +
Services provided by a Family Peer Advocate to provide individualized support to parents/caregivers of youth with mental health/behavioral health needs. Services include: advocacy, engagement, parent skill development, and community connection
